Having spent the majority of my working years in the non-profit sector providing crisis counseling services, I have witnessed the amazing strength and perseverance of humankind and feel privileged to have been part of a movement that supported and assisted those experiencing hardships and challenges in their lives.
From 2008 to 2010, I first worked with the Center for Leadership Initiatives as the Administrative Assistant to the Insight Fellowship Program. In 2012, I returned to ChangeCraft and currently hold the position of Office Administrator. I have an extensive background in administrative and financial management in the non-profit sector, including experience as an office manager, administrator, program and volunteer coordinator. In 1992 I began my career in the non-profit sector as a volunteer and staff member at Battered Women’s Support Services where I undertook specialized counseling training, provided phone and one-on-one counseling, and facilitated support groups for abused women. My interest in social justice and community development continued through positions with Positive Women’s Network and the Vancity Community Foundation.
I hold a BA in Psychology and Criminology. I was born in the Fiji Islands and immigrated to Vancouver with my family in the 1970’s. I currently live in Vancouver with my husband and three children and enjoy camping, long walks and cooking for friends and family.
